Ikeogu “IK” Imo

Senior Vice President, Multifamily Lending and Neighborhood Investments

IK Imo is the Senior Vice President of Multifamily Lending and Neighborhood Investments (MLNI). As Senior Vice President, Mr. Imo oversees the MLNI team, serves as chief underwriter, and is responsible for developing business opportunities and managing the Agency’s predevelopment construction pipelines. Mr. Imo joined the Agency in January 2021 as the Director of DCHFA’s Housing Investments division, where he was responsible for the development of new housing investment products and financing initiatives and the innovation of existing DCHFA finance products and programs that support the creation and preservation of affordable housing units in the District of Columbia.

Prior to joining the Agency, Mr. Imo worked for the government of the District of Columbia as the Director in the Division of Portfolio and was promoted to Director, Portfolio in 2018. In these roles, Mr. Imo oversaw a team of 15 employees who managed over 2,000 real estate assets, worth over $17 billion, in D.C. and Maryland. He was the chief negotiator for the District of Columbia’s lease, acquisition, and/or disposition transactions. Mr. Imo has held various other positions including, Director, Finance and Acquisitions with Dante Partners, an Investment Consultant and Asset Manager, with Bozzuto Management Company and a Private Investment Manager with Prudential Capital Group.

Mr. Imo graduated from Rice University, where he received a Bachelor of Arts, in Political Science. He also holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Virginia, Darden Graduate School of Business Administration.
